Richard Kent Hough Scholarship
Christopher Paul Blake graduated from Hickory High School in Chesapeake , VA where he was a member of the National Honor Society, German National Honor Society, Drama and Psychology Clubs.  Chris received the President’s Award for Excellence in the Drama Club and scored in the top ten percent of tested German students in the country.

Virginia Strader Nunn Scholarship
Megan Anne Rhodes, a graduate of Blacksburg High School , was a member of the Varsity Soccer and Indoor Track and Field teams.  She holds the school record for 300m dash, 4X200 and 4/400 relays. She was a member of the National Honor Society and served as Senior Class Vice-President and participated as a fundraising volunteer for her church.

Elma Stanley Dowdy Scholarship:
Julie Marie Smith, a graduate of Abingdon High School , was Senior Class President, a member of the National Honor Society, Varsity Swim Team, and Mountain Empire Gymnastics team.  Julie volunteered in the Student-Teacher Tutoring Program, Mission Trips, Relay for Life, and the Virginia Highlands Festival.
